Angeles C.S.C.
History
The club was initially formed in 1966 with 14 members,
6 of whom went to the European Cup finals. The club eventually folded
in 1980 due to lack of support.
After the excitement of the centenary season, Larry Brown started
a club in Orange County. The club didn't have any live satellite
games but watched recordings of them a few weeks later. When live
games became a reality, the club moved to Santa Monica which has
a large Scottish community.
After two seasons, the club returned to Orange County. It became
increasingly obvious that this wasn't working as most members would
have to drive more than 100 miles to watch the games. at this time
a Santa Monica club began and it wasn't long before the two clubs
combined and are now based out of Santa Monica.
The present club has been growing in strength since 1995 and our
ultimate goal is to have our own place where we can show the games
and have a pint. Then we won't be able to blame anybody else for
the bad satellite feed every week.
The club has about four dances a year which raises funds for the
club and various charities.
